THE TENENTS
1. Tenet of Freedom & Belief
Human dignity and freedom come first.
Lumen Legacy recognizes the importance of freedom of thought, individual dignity, and personal choice. People come from different cultures, traditions, religions, and philosophical backgrounds, and those differences deserve respect.
Members are free to develop their own beliefs and choose their own paths, provided they respect the dignity, safety, and rights of others.
Unity does not require uniformity. Different perspectives can coexist while people work toward shared principles of knowledge, cooperation, and human progress.
2. Tenet of Faith, Doubt & Discovery
Questions of belief are deeply personal.
Questions concerning God, spirituality, religion, doubt, and the nature of existence have been explored by humanity for thousands of years. Lumen Legacy does not require adherence to a particular religious or spiritual doctrine.
Individuals may hold religious, spiritual, agnostic, atheist, or other philosophical perspectives. What matters is the freedom to explore such questions thoughtfully and respectfully.
Violence, coercion, human sacrifice, and practices that deliberately harm others are fundamentally incompatible with the principles of human dignity and well-being.
Seek understanding before judgment.
3. Tenet of Wealth & Abundance
Wealth is a tool; responsibility determines its value.
Money and material resources are not inherently good or evil. Their impact depends upon how they are earned, managed, and used.
Wealth can provide security, create opportunities, support families, encourage innovation, expand education, strengthen communities, and improve lives. It can also be misused when separated from responsibility and ethical judgment.
The concept of abundance therefore extends beyond personal prosperity. It represents a world in which people have meaningful opportunities to build secure, productive, and fulfilling lives while contributing positively to those around them.
Prosperity becomes more meaningful when it creates opportunity beyond oneself.
4. Tenet of Value & Exchange
Value reflects effort, knowledge, resources, and contribution.
Much of what humanity values requires time, expertise, materials, creativity, and sustained effort.
Education depends upon teachers and institutions. Health requires knowledge and care. Products require resources and skilled labor. Ideas require curiosity, experimentation, and dedication.
Exchange allows people to recognize and share these contributions. Something given freely does not become less valuable; understanding the effort and resources behind what we receive can instead encourage greater appreciation and responsible use.
Value is not measured by price alone. It can also be measured by knowledge, effort, usefulness, human impact, and contribution.
